Hotel
Overview
If you are as old as us, you will remember the black and white Robinson
Crusoe series on TV; with the haunting music and the actor was a young
version of Alan Ladd. If he had gone into the hospitability business his
next venture would have been Baywatch. This 9-room guesthouse is
built about 30 yards from the shore and the sound of the waves will lull you
to sleep. The evening sunsets are spectacular, it's a view to die for. The
rooms are simple with en-suite shower and WC and a ceiling fan. Ideal for
the beach lovers.
Baywatch Rajasthan Tents
Levin, the owner, has imported 5 colonial style
luxury tents from Rajasthan. This is a new concept for Goa and the tents are
in the garden of the Baywatch Guesthouse. They have a twin bedroom and the
loo, shower and wash basin are in the other compartment of the tent. There
are rugs on the floor and antique Rajasthani (North India) furniture. Each
tent has a couple of deckchairs outside and in front of the tent is a giant
cauldron where the evening bonfire burns. Bring your guitar; if youre
a child of the 60's youll love it. Both the tents and the guesthouse
are offered on a Bed and Continental Breakfast basis. If you stay in the
tents the boys will boil water if you fancy a hot shower. Levin also has a
restaurant between the guesthouse and the sea that has the largest selection
of Goan dishes we have ever seen. There are a dozen beach chairs outside the
restaurant where you can chill out, watch the Goan sunset and listen to the
waves lapping on the shore. Simple but superb.
