Accommodation is in the form of Tribal huts thatched with elephant grass
and spread around dense plantations of forest trees and spices. The Ayurveda
center has state of the art facilities and is one of the finest Ayurveda
centers, established by the Casino group at their properties. Efficient and
qualified Ayurvedic physicians, trained therapists, dieticians, masseurs and
yoga instructors render their services. The facilities include treatment
centers (separate for ladies and gents), steam baths and medicine centers.
There is also a Tiger Club to learn more the flora and fauna of the region.
Soft and hard treks, visits to spice and pepper plantations and boat safari
in the Periyar lake are other facilities available.
Location
Set in 15 acres of spice gardens at an elevation of 3000 feet above sea
level adjacent to the Periyar National Park midway between the temple town
of Madurai and the backwater village of Kumarakom.
