Kerala BackwatersThrough the slew of books and magazines I came to know much about Kerala's back water cruise, and since then I was luring for an opportunity to visit India. When I got the chance to visit India as a part of my official work then there was no looking back. Especially from New Delhi I boarded a plane to Kerala. I was totally wonder-stuck by the natural grandeur and charm that the city possesses. Its beautiful landscapes, terrain's, the flora and fauna impart the real pleasures of experiencing pure nature.

I had booked my tour with the 'Kerala Goa Holiday Travel Com.' as number of my friends suggested me about the comfortable services provided by the Travel Company during your whole trip. I was booked with a unique type of accommodation on houseboat. It was just an enchanting experience to make a cruise through beauty of nature in the splendid houseboat of Kerala giving an expeditious and touch magic of Kerala's beauty.

Alappuzha Backwaters have a vast network of lakes, lagoons and fresh water rivers crisscrossing it. I also had the chance of watching some of the rare migratory birds. This magnificent houseboat was a total conjurer due to its remarkable appearance and premium facilities. The boat provided with the facility of personal bathroom attached with the bedroom, living room, an open lounge, deck and a crew comprising oarsmen, a cook and guide. I completely enjoyed the every course of meal they offer with the domination of south Indian cuisine.

Getting up early in morning with the chirping of birds and glancing at the first rays of the sun was just a fabulous sight. I captured the beautiful panorama, the diving of birds into blue waters and the magnificent village life into my handi-cam. The simple villagers use to smile at me or some times wave at me when ever my boat passed by them, I was really overwhelmed at their gesture. I also visited coir factory to view the coir making process, which is used as a basic integral of the houseboat. Apart from this, I also enjoyed the sight of local villagers fishing and making rice fields along the coastal areas rowed with coconut trees.

I was really very lucky to enjoy the amazing boat race of Kerala. The crowed gathered was cheering up the various teams. I was also equally the part of the madding crowd cheering the participants, thoroughly enjoying the boat race of Alappuzha.

My cruise through Kerala Back Water was just captivating an experience never could be faded from my memories.
